A little bit about laura hartley photography
My motivation behind Laura Hartley Photography is to provide families with a relaxed and natural alternative to more traditional, studio-based photography sessions. Photographing on location in the beautiful outdoors around Yorkshire means that I am able to capture memories of your children playing and laughing in gorgeous and fun surroundings, which they often feel more comfortable in. It means that if you have a particular spot that is special to your family, there's a good chance we'll be able to use it as our location so it will provide a really meaningful set of photos and memories for you. And if you don't have anywhere specific in mind I have a great list of places for you to choose from, including the wonderful Bolton Abbey. If your children are camera shy then don't worry - it's impossible for them to have an hour or two playing outdoors with their family without me capturing some lovely photos (often without them realising it!). In the case of young babies I'm happy to come to your home instead and get some the photos of your new arrival in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
After the photo shoot I take particular care when editing your photos. In fact, this is when the real work begins for me. I'll take several hours selecting and editing your set of photos to ensure each one has the perfect tone and feel to it.

My pricing approach is also different to most studios - I charge a fixed fee which includes both the photo shoot and the digital set of carefully edited images (between 15 - 20) for your unlimited personal use so that you are then able to order canvases, prints and other products yourself at the excellent prices widely available on the high street and the internet. My goal is to enable families to capture really special memories in beautiful locations at a reasonable price with no hidden extra costs after the shoot.

I am also often available to cover the North/West Leeds, Bradford and Harrogate areas if requested. My clients often come from further afield around England and the UK and make the photo shoot into a family break away in Yorkshire - if that's the case for you then just let me know and I'm happy to help with any local knowledge that you might need.
